Guardian Medical Hawthorn is a mixed billing centre. The holders of a current Medicare Card may be entitled to a Medicare Rebate which can be claimed at the time of consultation and deposited directly into your nominated bank account using Medicare Easyclaim – no more trips to the Medicare Office!
Standard Consultations
For consultations between Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm bulk billing applies for the following:
- Children 15 years of age and under
- Childhood Immunisations
- Government Concession card holders and Pension card holders
- Veterans’ Affairs
All other consultations and procedures are privately billed and payment is required at the time of service.
Procedures & Non-Standard Consultations
- All procedures will be charged privately
- Additional fees for consumables will be charged
- All consultations associated with procedures will be billed privately
WorkCover & TAC
- Consultations are privately billed and payment is required at the time of service
Prescriptions
- Prescriptions will not be issued without a consultation with your doctor
Travel Consultations
- Travel vaccination consultations will incur an out-of-pocket fee plus the cost of the vaccinations
Guardian Medical Hawthorn is an AGPAL-accredited, mixed billing medical centre. The clinic was recently renovated and now features five consulting suites and a spacious treatment and emergency room. The upgraded facility is designed to support a broad range of medical services in a comfortable, professional environment.
Melbourne Pathology
Melbourne Pathology provides onsite pathology collection services at our centre. Pathology Collection Availability:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Most services are bulk-billed for patients holding Medicare cards. Some specialised tests not covered by Medicare may incur a fee.
Physiotherapy – Focused on restoring movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability. Our physiotherapists work closely with patients to develop personalised treatment plans aimed at improving quality of life.
